ABA

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a science that teaches socially significant skills including social, language and communication, self-help, and learning skills, while also reducing inappropriate behavior. It is currently the most effective treatment for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities and diagnoses.

Our Services

Inizio’s ABA services involve teaching appropriate skills that your child is struggling with and reducing problem behaviors that prevent your child from learning.

Every child is unique and so the skills we teach your child will be tailored to his or her strengths and challenges and may include learning skills, language, social/communication skills, play skills, motor skills, self-help skills, and academic skills.

Inizio offers home and community-based ABA services in all service locations. In-home services take place in the child’s primary environment for learning—the home. The behavior team of between 2 to 3 professionals consists of a program supervisor who is also a board certified behavior analyst (BCBA), and the one-to-one behavior therapist(s). The parents are active participants in every phase of their child’s program, including the initial assessment, progress reports, and implementation of and participation in daily programming in and outside of sessions. Services are funded through private insurance, Medi-Cal, or your local regional center.

Clinic-based ABA services are coming soon. Similar to our home-based ABA services, Inizio’s clinic-based services provide the added advantage of providing your child social opportunities with peers, and a small, structured learning environment that paves the way for your child to ultimately enter a school setting.

School-based ABA services in all service locations. School services take place in the general or special education classroom setting. The behavior team consists of a BCBA program supervisor and the one-to-one behavior therapist, who work collaboratively with the educational team to ensure the child’s success in the classroom and success with the individualized education plan (IEP) goals and objectives. Inizio is contracted with multiple school districts throughout Southern California.

PEERS® is a a 16-week evidence-based social skills intervention for motivated adolescents in middle school or high school who are interested in learning ways to help them make and keep friends. Learn more about the PEERS® program and registering.

Please feel free to call us to find out more about these services.

Depending on the service you’re interested in, our treatment team includes board-certified behavior analysts (BCBA), who are responsible for meeting with you and your child and writing the initial assessment to include specific tailor-made goals and objectives, creating the skills that the team will teach your child, and working with you and the one-to-one behavior interventionist in helping your child succeed. Our degreed behavior interventionists undergo initial intensive and ongoing ABA training. Also, your input is valuable, and you are considered to be an active participant in your child’s progress.
